Update: Identities Released in Silver Spring Area Death Investigations

Detectives with the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the deaths of a 70-year-old female, now identified as Donna Lewis, and a 71-year-old male, now identified as Arnold Ringgold, who were discovered deceased this morning inside their Silver Spring area home.

This morning (September 3), at approximately 9:13 a.m., 3rd District officers responded to a residence in the 9200 block of Three Oaks Drive after a family member had responded to the home to check on the residents.  The family member entered the home and located Lewis and Ringgold deceased inside.  The family member then immediately called 9-1-1.  During the investigation, detectives learned that Lewis and Ringgold were divorced, and Ringgold had recently moved back into the home.

Lewis’ body and Ringgold’s body were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the manner and cause of their deaths.

The facts and circumstances surrounding these deaths remain under investigation.
