Detectives Investigating Homicide in Montgomery Village; Asking for Information from Public

UPDATE: 9/9/2020: The Medical Examiner has ruled the manner of death as a homicide and the cause of death as a gunshot wound.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police- Major Crimes Division are investigating a homicide in Montgomery Village that was discovered by a 6th District officer this morning.

At approximately 5:49 this morning (September 6), a 6th District officer was investigating an unrelated call for service when he located an unresponsive male lying face down in an apartment parking lot located in the 9300 block of Willow Creek Drive.  The male appeared to be suffering from a gunshot wound.  The officer began to attempt lifesaving measures and radioed for the assistance of Fire and Rescue personnel.  The victim was declared deceased at the scene.

The victim's body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore where an autopsy will be performed.

The victim is identified as 37-year-old Mark Earl Leonard Webb of an unconfirmed address.
