(LOCATED) Silver Alert Issued for Missing Darnestown Area Man with Alzheimer’s

For Immediate Release: Saturday, September 19, 2020

Update: September 19, 2020, at 7:30 a.m. - Mr. Sung has been located safe and unharmed.  The Silver Alert has been canceled. 

The Montgomery County Department of Police is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Darnestown area man who has Alzheimer’s.  A Silver Alert has been activated for 86-year-old Shen Sung.

Mr. Sung was last seen by family at approximately 4:00 p.m. yesterday (Friday, September 19) when he left his Esworthy Terrace home driving his 2014 gray Honda CRV with Maryland tags: 6BN5594. Family reported that Mr. Sung ran a short errand and was expected to immediately return home.  Family has been unable to contact him since that time.

Mr. Sung is approximately 5’ 08” tall and weighs approximately 150 pounds. He has gray hair, brown eyes, and wears glasses. Mr. Sung was last seen wearing a dark blue long sleeve shirt and dark blue sweatpants.

Anyone with information regarding Shen Sung’s whereabouts or anyone who sees his vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1.
