(LOCATED) Concern for Missing North Bethesda Area Man

For Immediate Release: Thursday, September 24, 2020

Update: September 29, 2020 - Erick Jose Barrera-Espana has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police – 1st District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing North Bethesda area man.

Erick Jose Barrera-Espana, age 20, was last seen by family at approximately 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, September 22, when he left his Crookston Lane home on foot.  Family has been unable to contact him since that time.

Barrera-Espana is 5’1” tall and weighs 170 pounds.  He has brown eyes and black hair.  Barrera-Espana was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt with the words “System of a Down” written on the front, black pants, and black shoes.

Police and family are concerned for Barrera-Espana’s welfare.

Anyone with information regarding Erick Jose Barrera-Espana’s whereabouts is asked to call the Police Department at 301-279-8000 (24/7 phone line).  Callers may remain anonymous.
