(LOCATED) Concern for Missing Germantown Man

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, September 30, 2020

Update: October 2, 2020 - James Jones has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police-5th District are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Germantown man.

James Jones, age 33, has been reported as missing by his family.  He was last seen leaving his home located in the 19500 block of Gunners Branch Road on September 26 at approximately noon.  He stated that he was going to visit his girlfriend in Virginia.

Jones is approximately 6’01? tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds.  He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black and gray hooded sweatshirt, black pants, and black slippers.

Jones does not drive and uses public transportation.

Anyone with information about James Jones' whereabouts is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line).
