(LOCATED) Concern for Missing Gaithersburg Man

Update: October 14, 2020 - Leonard Sweeney has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 6th District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s help to locate a missing Gaithersburg man.



Leonard Sweeney, age 29, was last seen by family at approximately 11:00 p.m. last night (Sunday, October 4) when he left his Christopher Avenue home on foot.



Sweeney is described as 5’ 10” tall and weighs 170 pounds.  He has black hair worn in cornrow braids and brown eyes.  Sweeney was last seen wearing a camo-print jacket and black pants.



Police and family are concerned for Leonard Sweeney’s physical and emotional welfare.
