Montgomery County Police Department Participates in National Faith and Blue Weekend (October 9-11)

The Montgomery County Department of Police is participating in the first National Faith and Blue Weekend held October 9 through October 11.

The Faith and Blue weekend encourages law enforcement and faith traditions to come together to build stronger communities.  This year, the Police Department is partnering with the following faith traditions to hold the following Faith and Blue events:

1st District (Rockville)

  • WHAT: Community discussion about how to strengthen the relationship between the community and law enforcement.

    WHERE: Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, 608 North Horners Lane, Rockville, 20850

    WHEN: Friday, October 9, 4:30 pm to 6:00 pm
2nd District (Bethesda)

  • WHAT: Community discussion about topics to include training of MCP officers, current crime trends and patterns, and community outreach programs.

    WHERE: First Baptist Church of Ken-Gar, 3922 Hampden Street, Kensington, 20895

    WHEN: October 10, 10:00 am to 12:30 pm
  • WHAT: Community discussion about topics to include training of MCP officers, current crime trends and patterns, and community outreach programs.

    WHERE: St. Paul's United Methodist Church, 10401 Armory Avenue, Kensington, 20895

    WHEN: October 10, 11:30 am to 12:30 pm
3rd District (Silver Spring)

  • WHAT: Outdoor community event with Living World International Christian Church

    WHERE: Spring Parc Apartments (Featherwood Court in Silver Spring)

    WHEN: October 10, 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm
4th District (Wheaton)

  • WHAT: Meet and greet with law enforcement and community members

    WHERE: Living World International Church, 16819 New Hampshire Avenue, Silver Spring, 20905

    WHEN: October 11, 10:30 am to 11:30 am
5th District (Germantown)

  • WHAT: Meet and greet and question and answer session with community

    WHERE: Asbury Methodist Church, 17540 Black Rock Road, Germantown, 20874

    WHEN: October 11, 8:30 am and 10:15 am (before and after services)
