Detectives Investigate Home Invasion Robbery in Fairland Area

For Immediate Release: Monday, October 19, 2020

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating the September 30 home invasion robbery that occurred in the Fairland area. Investigators are releasing home surveillance video of the two suspects fleeing the residence and are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects.  Detectives do not believe that this is a random event.

On Wednesday, September 30, at approximately 11:20 p.m., officers from the 3rd District responded to a residence on Turbridge Drive for the report of a home invasion robbery that had just occurred. The preliminary investigation by detectives determined that the two masked suspects cut the kitchen window screen to enter the home.  The two suspects, one armed with a gun, confronted the victim inside of his bedroom.  As the two suspects stole property and cash from the bedroom, there was a struggle between the victim and suspects.  During the altercation, the victim was able to pull one of the suspect's masks from his face.  The two suspects fled from the home.

Anyone with information regarding these suspects or this home invasion robbery is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5100.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may contact Crime Solvers by phone: 1-866-411-TIPS (8477), online, or via the Crime Solvers app.  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
