Detectives Investigate Burglary and Theft of ATM from Lancaster County Dutch Market in Germantown; Surveillance Video of Suspects Released

For Immediate Release: Monday, November 2, 2020

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Investigative Section continue to investigate the October 18 burglary of the Lancaster County Dutch Market store located at 12613 Wisteria Drive in Germantown.  During the burglary, the suspects stole an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) from the store. Today, detectives are releasing surveillance video of the two suspects and are asking anyone with information about the suspects or burglary to come forward to the Police Department.

On Sunday, October 18, at approximately 11:47 a.m., 5th District officers responded to the Lancaster County Dutch Market for the report of a burglary that had been discovered by an employee who was opening the market.  A review of the market’s surveillance video revealed that at approximately 2:45 a.m. the suspects forced entry into the market and stole an ATM.   After the burglary, the suspects were seen on the surveillance video fleeing in a white van.

The next day (Monday, October 19), 5th District officers located a white van unoccupied near the intersection of Wisteria Drive and Germantown Road.  Officers located the stolen ATM inside the van and it appeared that the suspects had forced entry into the ATM and stole cash.  Officers determined that the van had been stolen from Wisteria Drive and Germantown Road at some time during that same weekend that the burglary occurred.

Anyone with information about these suspects or this burglary is asked to call the 5th District Investigative Section at 240-773-6237.  Those who wish to remain anonymous may contact Crime Solvers by phone: 1-866-411-TIPS (8477), online, or via the Crime Solvers app.  Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information provided to them that leads to an arrest in this case.
