(LOCATED) Silver Alert Issued for Missing Gaithersburg Man with Dementia

Update: November 21, 2020 - Mr. Ghose has been located safe and unharmed.  The Silver Alert has been canceled.

The Montgomery County Department of Police is asking for the public’s help in locating a missing Gaithersburg man who has dementia.  A Silver Alert has been activated for 82-year-old Shankar N. Ghose.

Mr. Ghose was last seen at approximately 5:30 p.m. yesterday evening (Friday, November 20) when he left his Cherrywood Terrace home driving his 2007 blue Honda CRV with Maryland tags: 08504M5.  Family reported that Mr. Ghose was expected to run a short errand to a nearby store and then immediately return home.  Family has been unable to contact Mr. Ghose since he left his home.

Mr. Ghose is approximately 5’ 02” tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds.  He has black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information regarding Shankar N. Ghose’s whereabouts or anyone who sees his vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1.
