2020 Holiday Alcohol Task Force Enforcement Begins - Week One

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, November 24, 2020

Holiday Alcohol Task Force officers will be devoting their full-time and attention to detecting alcohol-related offenses this holiday season.

• During this past week’s enforcement (evening of November 18, 19, 20, and 21), task force officers arrested 26 people for driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs (DUI).**

**It should be noted that the above arrests include only those arrests made by task force officers and do not include the additional arrests made by patrol officers in the performance of their duties.  Therefore, the overall number of DUI arrests made by officers during this time period is higher.

**For future reference, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there is currently a restriction in place that bars and restaurants in Maryland are to close at 10:00 pm and there is currently capacity limits for bars and restaurants.
