Detectives Conducting Death Investigation Following Leisure World Apartment Building Fire; No Foul Play Suspected in Death

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division and Fire Explosive Investigators from the Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Service are conducting a death investigation following an apartment building fire that occurred early this morning in Leisure World of Maryland.

On Saturday, November 28, at approximately 1:32 a.m., 4th District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to an apartment fire in the 15200 block of Elkridge Way in Leisure World.

Fire and Rescue Service personnel located a deceased female resident inside her apartment.  At this time, there is no foul play suspected in her death.

The resident will be identified once family makes notifications.
