Update: Detectives Now Investigating a Third Vandalism and Theft at Same Residence in Olney; Additional Surveillance Video of Suspect Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 4th District Investigative Section continue to investigate three vandalisms and a theft that have occurred at the same residence in the 17000 block of Cashell Road in Olney and are believed to have been committed by the same suspect.  Today, investigators are releasing new surveillance video of the male suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

The most recent vandalism occurred on November 28.  The homeowner reported that he/she discovered that a flag that had been hanging on his/her second-story balcony was now missing. Home surveillance video shows the suspect using a long pole with an attached blade to remove the flag and fleeing the area with the flag.

Below is a summary of the two previously reported vandalisms:

October 28 – The homeowner reported that derogatory wording had been spray-painted on his/her garage door during the overnight hours.

November 13 – at approximately 1:39 a.m., home surveillance video captured the suspect spray painting a derogatory comment on the victim’s garage door.   The suspect was last seen on foot toward Cherry Valley Court.
