For Immediate Release: Wednesday, December 2, 2020

A Holiday Alcohol Task Force officer has arrested and charged Damien Fox, age 18, of Clinton, Maryland, with criminal offenses to include possession of a handgun, possession of a handgun by a prohibited person, possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute it, and traffic offenses to include driving without a license.

On November 24 at approximately 9:44 pm, a task force officer was on routine patrol when he observed a driver commit several moving violations, to include passing a vehicle on a solid double line, in the area of Randolph Road and Middlevale Lane.

The officer stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Fox.  It was determined that Fox does not have a driver's license.

The officer noted a strong smell of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and Fox admitted that marijuana was in the vehicle.

During a search of the vehicle, officers located a loaded handgun under the front passenger’s seat.  Officers also located a loaded magazine and marijuana packaged for distribution and other items indicative of drug distribution.

Officers determined that Fox is prohibited from owning a firearm due to prior criminal convictions.

Fox was arrested and transported to the Central Processing Unit.  He is being held without bond.
