Detectives Conduct Death Investigation in Aspen Hill; No Foul Play Suspected

Detectives with the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating the undetermined death of Lawrence Wilson, age 52, of an unconfirmed address, who was found deceased early this afternoon in a creek along the Matthew Henson Trail in Aspen Hill.  There is no foul play suspected in Wilson’s death.

On Tuesday, December 2, at approximately 11:57 a.m.., 4th District officers and Fire and Rescue personnel responded to the Matthew Henson Trail (located near Georgia Avenue and Hewitt Avenue) for the report of a body in a creek.

First responders located Wilson deceased in the creek near the trail.  Wilson’s remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore for an autopsy. The results of the autopsy are pending.

This investigation is ongoing.  Anyone with any information regarding Wilson’s death is asked to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070.
