For Immediate Release: Wednesday, December 9, 2020

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police have charged Leon Anthony Johnson Jr., age 55, of Whispering Pines Drive in Silver Spring, with two counts of second-degree assault for the inappropriate and unwanted touching of two female victims.  The offenses occurred while Johnson, Jr. was working as a driving instructor for Greg's Driving School and the victims were taking driving lessons.

On August 31, a 16-year-old female reported to MCP that Johnson, Jr. had inappropriately touched her and attempted to engage her in inappropriate sexual conversation on two occasions in August while she was taking driving lessons from him in the Clarksburg and Rockville areas.

Through investigation, detectives learned of an additional victim of Johnson Jr.'s unwanted touching.  Investigators spoke to the 23-year-old victim who stated that the driving lesson during which the inappropriate touching occurred was on September 11 in the Rockville area.

Detectives obtained a warrant for Johnson Jr.'s arrest and he was arrested.  He was transported to the Central Processing Unit and was released on a $6,000 (10 percent) bond.

Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) detectives are concerned there may be additional victims of Johnson, Jr.  Anyone who believes that he/she is a victim is asked to call SVID investigators at  240-773-5400.
