Detectives Investigate Home Invasion Robbery in Bethesda

Major Crimes Division detectives continue to investigate a home invasion that occurred in Bethesda on December 11 and are asking anyone with information to come forward to the Police Department.  Detectives do not believe that this was a random event.

On Friday, December 11, at approximately 8:44 p.m., officers responded to a residence in the 6500 block of Elgin Lane for the report of a home invasion that just occurred. Investigation determined that three male suspects, wearing masks and armed with handguns, entered the home.  The suspects demanded money from the residents but fled without obtaining cash or property. Witnesses observed the suspects enter a vehicle, possibly a newer model BMW.
