Detectives Investigate Armed Robbery of 7-Eleven in Bethesda; Surveillance Photos Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the December 19 armed robbery of a 7-Eleven in Bethesda. Today, investigators are releasing surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking anyone with information to come forward to detectives.

On Saturday, December 19 at approximately 6:09 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to the 7-Eleven located at 5114 River Road for the report of an armed robbery that had just occurred.

The investigation by detectives revealed that the suspect entered the store and approached an adult female employee who was behind the counter.  The suspect displayed a handgun, threatened the employee, and demanded cash from the business.  The employee complied with the suspect’s demands. The suspect fled the store and may have fled the area in a Chevrolet sedan that was seen parking in front of the store just prior to the robbery and then leaving the area immediately after the robbery.
