Detectives Conduct Death Investigation in Rockville

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, January 5, 2021

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating the undetermined death of an adult male who was found deceased yesterday near a creek in the 700 block of East Gude Drive in Rockville.

On January 4, at approximately 4:53 p.m., the Emergency Communications Center received a call from a man who was walking his dog on a hiking trail and discovered a body near a creek.

1st District officers and Emergency Services Unit (ESU) officers responded to the area and located a deceased male in an apparent advanced state of decomposition.

The body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) in Baltimore for an autopsy and assistance in identification of the person.
