Concern for Missing Montgomery Village Teenager (LOCATED)

Update: January 19, 2021 - Kayla Andrea Sanchez has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police-Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing teenager from Montgomery Village.  

Kayla Andrea Sanchez, age 13, of Little Pond Place, was last seen leaving her home on the afternoon of Friday, January 8.  She told her family she was going to a friend's house.

Sanchez is approximately 5’1" tall and weighs 130 pounds. She has shoulder-length red and blond hair and brown eyes. Kayla Sanchez was last seen wearing a pink sweatshirt and black leggings.    

Sanchez has been in contact with her family via text messages but will not disclose her whereabouts.  Police and family are concerned for her welfare.

Anyone with information about Kayla Sanchez’s whereabouts is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line).
