(FAMILY LOCATED) Update to Hillandale Fatal Hit and Run Collision Involving a Pedestrian: Detectives Ask for Public's Help in Locating Pedestrian's Family

Update: January 16 at 11:00 p.m. - Family members for Mr. Henderson have been located. 

Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) continue to investigate a fatal hit and run collision involving a pedestrian that occurred last night (Friday, January 15), in Hillandale.

The pedestrian, who succumbed to his injuries sustained in the collision, is identified as Mark C. Henderson, age 66, of the 7800 block of Lockney Avenue in Takoma Park.

Detectives have been unable to locate any of Henderson’s family members and are asking anyone with information on possible family members to please call the Police Department at 301-279-8000 (24/7 phone line).

Investigators are releasing a photo of Henderson.
