Concern for Missing Aspen Hill Area Teenager (LOCATED)

Update: February 9, 2021 - Sonia Alcantara has been located safe and unharmed.

Detectives from the Montgomery County Police - Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s help in locating a missing teenage female from the Aspen Hill area.  

Sonia Alcantara, age 16, was last seen by family at her Oakvale Street home during the morning hours of Thursday, January 28.

Alcantara is approximately 5-foot-tall and weighs 130 pounds.  She has brown eyes and long brown hair.  Alcantara was last seen wearing a blue and red jacket over a white shirt, blue jeans, and black shoes.

Police and family are concerned for Alcantara’s welfare.

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Sonia Alcantara is asked to call the Montgomery County Police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24hrs). Callers may remain anonymous.
