Detectives Investigating Bank Robbery in Gaithersburg; Surveillance Photos Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating the robbery of a BB&T bank that occurred on January 29 in Gaithersburg.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance photographs of the male suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On Friday, January 29, at approximately 1:04 p.m., 6th District officers responded to the BB&T bank located at 467 N. Frederick Avenue for the report of a robbery.  The investigation by detectives determined that the suspect approached a teller and passed a note demanding cash and implying that he was armed.  The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of currency from the bank and fled.
