Detectives Investigate Armed Robbery of Papa John’s in Silver Spring; Suspects Linked to Robberies in DC and Prince George’s County

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division are investigating the armed robbery of a Papa John’s pizza shop in Silver Spring committed by the same three suspects who committed armed robberies at a Subway restaurant in Washington, D.C, and a liquor store in Oxon Hill, Prince George’s County, later that same day.  Anyone with information about these suspects is asked to come forward to the Police Department.

On Sunday, January 31, at approximately 2:22 p.m., the three suspects entered the Papa John’s located at 1133 East West Highway in Silver Spring.  One of the suspects served as a lookout while the other two suspects, one armed with a rifle and one armed with a handgun, stole employees’ personal property and cash from one of the registers.
