Detectives Investigate Armed Robbery of McDonald’s in Burtonsville; Surveillance Photos of Suspect Released

Update: March 26, 2021 - A photo of the suspect's vehicle (a Mazda MPV minivan) has been added to the initial release. 

Detectives from the Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the February 27 armed robbery of a McDonald’s restaurant located in Burtonsville.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance photographs of the male suspect and are asking anyone with information about this suspect to come forward to the Police Department.

On Saturday, February 27, at approximately 9:07 p.m., the suspect entered the McDonald’s restaurant located at 15569 Old Columbia Pike.  The suspect announced the robbery and threatened an employee with a handgun.  The suspect stole a cash register drawer that contained cash from the business and fled.
