For Immediate Release: Friday, March 19, 2021
Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 5th District Investigative Section have charged Jordon Douville, age 20, of an unconfirmed address, and Christina Carr, age 30, of the 20400 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Brinklow, for the March 18 theft of a Lexus SUV in Germantown which had been left unlocked and running with a three-year-old male in the back seat. Douville was also charged with stealing a Porsche SUV after he stole the Lexus SUV.
At approximately 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 5th District officers responded to a business located in the 19600 block of Frederick Road for the report of a vehicle that had just been stolen with a toddler still in the back seat.
The investigation determined that the adult female victim had parked her car in a parking lot and entered a business while leaving her car unlocked and running with her three-year-old son asleep in the backseat. While inside the business, the victim observed a male suspect enter her vehicle and drive out of the parking lot. The victim then observed the suspect stop at a nearby bus stop and pick up a female passenger. A few minutes later, the victim observed the suspect return her stolen car to the same parking lot from where it had been stolen and the male and female suspects exited the vehicle and fled the area on foot. The victim found her son unharmed in the back seat.
A description of the suspects was provided to officers via the police radio. Officers responding to the call located the male suspect, now identified as Douville, walking in the area of the 19300 block of Archdale Road. Officers located the female suspect, now identified as Carr, on Frederick Road near Plummer Drive. Officers located property on Carr that had been stolen from inside the victim’s car. During the investigation, officers learned that after Douville stole the Lexus SUV, he then stole and abandoned a Porsche SUV just prior to being stopped by police.
During a police interview, Douville and Carr both made admissions as to their involvement in this crime.
Douville and Carr were charged with stolen vehicle-related offenses and kidnapping. Douville is being held without bond. Carr is being held on a $25,000 bond.
