Detectives Investigating Armed Bank Robbery in Potomac; Surveillance Video Released

Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the April 14 armed robbery of a Wells Fargo Bank in Potomac.  Today, investigators are releasing surveillance video of the male suspect and asking anyone with information about the suspect to come forward to investigators.

On Wednesday, April 14, at approximately 11:20 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to the Wells Fargo Bank located at 9812 Falls Road for the report of a robbery.  The investigation by detectives determined that the suspect approached a teller, demanded money, and implied that he was armed.  The suspect obtained an undisclosed amount of currency from the bank and fled.
