Concern for Missing Gaithersburg Man (LOCATED)

For Immediate Release: Friday, April 30, 2021

UPDATE (4/30/2021): Gary Cooper has been located safe and unharmed.


Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Gaithersburg man.

Gary Cooper, age 47, of Drop Forge Lane, was last seen by a family member on April 27.  He had made plans to meet that family member later that day at a vehicle repair shop but did not arrive.

Cooper is approximately 6’ 1" tall and weighs approximately 185 pounds.  He has brown eyes and has black hair.  He has multiple tattoos to include tattoos on his arms and neck. 

Cooper may be driving a 2003 white BMW sedan with Maryland tags: EN0426.

Family and police are concerned for Cooper's physical and emotional welfare.

Anyone with information regarding Gary Cooper's whereabouts or anyone who sees his vehicle is asked to call the Police Department at 301-279-8000 (24/7 phone line). Callers may remain anonymous.
