Silver Alert Issued for Missing Olney Man with Dementia (LOCATED)

For Immediate Release: Monday, May 17, 2021

UPDATE - 5/17/2021:  William Baker has been located safe and unharmed.  The Silver Alert has been cancelled.


The Montgomery County Department of Police is asking for the public’s help in locating an Olney man with dementia who was last seen in Gaithersburg.  A Silver Alert has been activated for 67-year-old William Earl Baker, Jr.

William Baker of Olney was last seen at the Gaithersburg Costco located at 880 Russell Avenue at approximately 1:00 pm today (Monday, May 17).

Baker is approximately 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs approximately 170 pounds.  He is balding and has a gray mustache.  He has blue eyes and wear glasses.

Baker is driving a silver, 2005 Honda Odyssey minivan with Maryland tags: 527m889.

Anyone with information regarding William Baker's whereabouts or anyone who sees his vehicle is asked to call 9-1-1.
