Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division continue to investigate the July 2 death of 25-year-old Patrick Davion Gafford, of an unconfirmed address, that occurred inside an apartment complex located in the 11200 block of Oak Leaf Drive in White Oak.
At approximately 2 p.m. on Friday, July 2, officers responded to a high-rise building on Oak Leaf Drive for multiple reports of shots fired. Gafford and a second male suffering from gunshot wounds were located inside the apartment building and officers provided emergency care until Fire Rescue arrived. Gafford and the second male were transported to area hospitals. Gafford succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
There are no additional details at this time. This remains an active investigation and additional updates will be provided once information has been confirmed.
