(FAMILY LOCATED) Fatal Collision Involving a Pedestrian: Detectives Ask for Public's Help in Locating Pedestrian's Family

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Collision Reconstruction Unit (CRU) continue to investigate a fatal collision involving a pedestrian that occurred on Monday, August 23 at the intersection of University Blvd. East and Merrimac Drive.  

The pedestrian, who succumbed to his injuries sustained in the collision, is identified as Roberto Cardenas Martinez, approximately 42 years of age, possibly born in San Pedro, Oaxaca.  

Detectives have been unable to locate any of Cardenas Martinez’s family members and are asking anyone with information on possible family members to please call the Police Department at 301-279-8000 (24/7 phone line).
