Detectives Investigate Theft of Mail in Kensington

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Financial Crimes Section continue to investigate the September 5 theft of mail that occurred in Kensington. Detectives have released a surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.  

 

The investigation by detectives determined that on September 5, at approximately 3:57 a.m., the suspect was dropped off from a vehicle in the 10400 block of Montgomery Ave. in Kensington. The suspect walked to the exterior area of a business and stole mail from a U.S. Postal Service mailbox. The suspect was then picked up by the same vehicle. The suspect was last seen fleeing the scene in the vehicle.  


Anyone with information regarding this suspect or this crime is asked to call the Financial Crimes Section at 240-773-6330.
