Montgomery County Police Investigate Robbery of Germantown Pharmacy

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division are investigating the September 2 robbery of a pharmacy in Germantown. Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect.  


On Thursday, September 2, at approximately 10 a.m., officers responded to a pharmacy in the 19000 block of Frederick Road for the report of a robbery that just occurred.  


The investigation by detectives determined that two suspects jumped the counter of the pharmacy. One suspect obtained prescription medication and fled the store, leaving one sneaker behind. The second suspect, Ralph Christopher May, age 22 of Clarksburg, was detained at the scene by employees.

 

May was arrested and transported to the Montgomery County Police Headquarters, where he was interviewed by detectives. During the interview, May made statements acknowledging his involvement in the incident.  


May was transported to the Central Processing Unit and charged with robbery. He is being held without bond.  


The unknown suspect is described as an approximately 20-year-old black male, thin build, 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet tall.
