Montgomery County Police Continue to Investigate Robbery of Silver Spring Department Store

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department -  4th District Patrol Investigative Unit are investigating the November 6 robbery of a department store in Silver Spring. Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspects.  

On November 6, 2020, at approximately 1 p.m., officers from the 4th District responded to a department store in the 11000 block of Veirs Mill Road for the report of a robbery that just occurred.  

The investigation by detectives determined that three suspects entered the department store. One suspect, described as a black female, began gathering items from around the store, while the additional two suspects, one black male and one white female acted as lookouts. The three suspects then attempted to flee the scene with stolen property from the department store. When approached by store security, outside of the exit, the black female suspect pepper sprayed the security guard in his eyes. The white female suspect then struck the security guard multiple times before all three suspects fled the scene.
