Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police Department – Major Crimes Division are investigating the November 2 armed robbery of a business that occurred in the 3700 block of University Blvd. West in Kensington. Detectives have released surveillance photos of the suspect and are asking for the public’s help in identifying him.

On November 2, at approximately 2:58 a.m., 2nd District officers responded to the location for the report of a commercial armed robbery that just occurred.

The investigation by detectives determined that the suspect entered the business and approached the employee who was working behind the counter. The suspect showed the employee the silver handgun that he had concealed in his waistband, gave her a duffle bag, and demanded she hand over pharmaceuticals. The employee put pharmaceuticals inside the bag and gave it to the suspect, who then exited the store and fled the scene.
