Lakeforest Mall Homicide Victim Identified

For Immediate Release: Thursday, November 11, 2021

Gaithersburg, MD – A 29-year-old Gaithersburg man shot and killed Nov. 10, 2021 in the parking lot of the Lakeforest Mall has been identified.

At approximately 5:35 p.m., Gaithersburg Police and 6D officers were called to a shooting at 701 Russell Avenue.

Upon arrival, they found Terrance Donte Dimes, who had been shot. Officers and Montgomery County Fire Rescue personnel performed life-saving measures on the victim, but he succumbed to his injuries.

Montgomery County Police Major Crimes - Homicide division is conducting the investigation and there are no updates at this time.

Currently, there is no suspect in custody, and this is an ongoing investigation.
