Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Special Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 1-year-old from Silver Spring and her 29-year-old mother.

Ziona Amaya and her mother, Sandy Barrientos were last seen on November 28 at their residence on Plymouth Street in Silver Spring.

Amaya is an infant and has brown eyes and brown hair. She was last seen wearing a pink jacket, green pants, pink sneakers and a pink hat. Barrientos is 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs approximately 120 pounds. She has brown eyes and black hair. Barrientos was last seen wearing a long gray peacoat, black pants, white and green sneakers and a pink knit hat. Barrientos was last seen pushing Amaya in a red car-style stroller.

Police and family are concerned for their welfare.
