Suspect Wanted in Connection to November 30 Silver Spring Homicide

For Immediate Release: Tuesday, December 7, 2021

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are asking for the public’s help in locating the suspect wanted for a homicide on Nov. 30, 2021, in Silver Spring.

43- year-old Tremayne Middleton Dorsey is wanted for the murder of 39-year-old James Richard Beverly.

Dorsey is alleged to have forced his way into a residence in the 12300 block of Treetop Dr., where he shot and killed Beverly.

The investigation by detectives led them to identify Dorsey as a suspect, and an arrest warrant was obtained for Dorsey, charging him with First Degree Murder.

Dorsey is six-feet tall and weighs 285 lbs.
He has brown hair, brown eyes and may have facial hair.

Dorsey is considered armed and dangerous.
