Cops Shopping With Kids Event This Weekend

MEDIA ADVISORY: Cops Shopping With Kids 

WHO: Montgomery County Police Department 1st and 2nd District Community Services Officers   

             

WHEN: Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 8 to 11 a.m.   

   

WHERE: Target Rockville Store   

       5700 Bou Ave., Rockville, MD 20852   

   

This event allows pre-selected children to have a fun holiday season by using Target gift cards donated by the Police Foundation to purchase gifts. Cops assist the children to create a budget, prioritize their wish list, and complete their shopping.  All items are paid with the donated Target gift cards.   

   

This year, there are three additional dates where officers from other district stations will be shopping with pre-selected area children:

• Sunday, December 12 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Germantown Target (5th District Community Services Officers) 
• Saturday, December 18 from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Wheaton Target  (4th District Community Services Officers)   
• Saturday, December 18 from 8 to 11a.m. at the Germantown Target (6th District Community Services Officers)    

   

Chief Jones will be attending the event on Saturday, December 11 at the Rockville Target.
