Montgomery County Police Continue to Investigate Bias Incident

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, December 22, 2021

Gaithersburg, MD - Montgomery County Police Officers responded to a neighborhood off Forest Grove Drive in Silver Spring for the report of a bias incident that occurred on Saturday, December 19, 2021.

The initial complainant stated that at approximately 12:45 a.m., they observed an unknown male subject in, what appeared to be a dark colored Volkswagen Jetta, throw literature from his car window. Dozens of fliers containing Anti-Semitic language, alleging a connection between the Jewish faith and a “COVID agenda” were discovered throughout the Forest Estate neighborhood.

The Montgomery County Police Department takes these events seriously, has coordinated with the Anti-Defamation League (ADL), and continues to investigate and identify the person(s) responsible for this incident.
