Montgomery County Police Investigating Poolesville Bank Robbery

For Immediate Release: Monday, December 27, 2021

Gaithersburg, MD - Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division, Robbery Section are investigating a bank robbery that occurred on December 14, 2021, in Poolesville.

At approximately 12:19 p.m., the suspect entered a BB&T Bank in the 19600 block of Fisher Avenue. The suspect announced the robbery by vaulting the counter and kicking down the plexiglass partition. The suspect demanded cash from the tellers. The tellers ran to the vault, locking themselves inside, leaving cash on the counter. The suspect collected the cash and fled the bank with the stolen money.

The suspect is described as an unknown race male, approximately 6-feet tall, skinny build, wearing a dark gray hoodie, gray pants, black boots, black winter glovers, black goggles and a black mask.
