Concern for Missing Silver Spring Teenager (LOCATED)

Update: January 17, 2022 - Carlos Manuel Castro-Perez has been located safe and unharmed.  


Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing teenager from Silver Spring.


Carlos Manuel Castro-Perez, age 14, was last seen at approximately 5:30 p.m., in the 11000 block of Elkin Avenue.


Castro-Perez is approximately 5-feet, 5-inches tall and weighs 115 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and black and white Vans shoes.


Police and family are concerned for his physical welfare.


Anyone with information about the whereabout of Carlos Manuel Castro-Perez is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line). Callers may remain anonymous.
