Detectives Investigate Armed Robbery of a Silver Spring Pharmacy

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Major Crimes Division are investigating the January 17, 2022 armed robbery of a pharmacy in Silver Spring. Investigators have released surveillance video of the two suspects and are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying them. 

  

On Monday, January 17, at approximately 5 p.m., officers responded to the CVS pharmacy in the 9500 block of Georgia Ave. for the report of an armed robbery that just occurred. 

  

The investigation by detectives has determined that the suspects entered the pharmacy, approached the pharmacy counter, displayed a handgun and demanded pharmaceuticals from the employees. The employees complied with the suspects’ demands. The suspects stole pharmaceuticals and medications from the pharmacy and fled the scene. 

 

One of the suspects is described as a light-skinned Black male, between 18-20 years old, thin build and approximately 5-feet, 10-inches tall. He was wearing a yellow knit cap, a black mask, dark colored gloves, white sneakers, dark jeans, and a multi-colored sweatshirt.

 

The second suspect is described as a Black male, between 18-20 years old, thin build and approximately 5-feet, 11-inches tall. He was wearing a black mask, black gloves, a black hooded sweatshirt, dark gray jeans and black shoes.
