Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – 1^st District Investigative Section are asking for the public’s assistance in locating an adult female from Gaithersburg.

Tayra Vickenna Benfica, age 18, was last seen at approximately 10:45 p.m. on January 22, 2022 at her residence in the 12100 block of Triple Crown Road.

Benfica is approximately 5-feet, 2-inches tall and weighs approximately 110 pounds. She has brown eyes and medium-length black hair. She was last seen wearing a salmon-colored fleece hooded sweatshirt, camouflage leggings, tan Ugg boots, a blue backpack and a tan baseball cap.

Police and family are concerned for her welfare.
