Detectives Investigate Rockville Homicide

For Immediate Release: Friday, February 18, 2022

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police -Major Crimes Division are currently investigating the February 17 homicide that occurred in Rockville.

 

At approximately 11:50 p.m., Thursday evening, officers from Rockville City and the 1^st District responded to the area of 14000 Cove Lane for the report of a shooting that just occurred. Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim at the intersection of Bradley Avenue and Fletcher Place suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Officers provided life saving measures until fire rescue arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital in critical condition. The victim subsequently succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at the hospital.

 

The name of the deceased will be released following proper notification of next of kin.

 

This is an active and ongoing homicide investigation.

 

The department urges anyone who has information about this homicide to call the Major Crimes Division at 240-773-5070 or contact Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477).  A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the homicide suspect(s). Callers can remain anonymous.
