Gaithersburg, MD – Eric Phillip Bucksell, age 52, of Baltimore has been arrested following the November 2021, armed robbery of a business in Silver Spring.
On Friday, November 12, 2021, at approximately 5:50 p.m., 3rd District Officers responded to the Metro By T-Mobile, located in the 10200 block of New Hampshire Avenue for the report of an armed robbery that just occurred. Bucksell entered the location and approached the counter, announcing the robbery by motioning with his hand and stating he had a gun. Bucksell demanded money from an employee and then fled the scene with the stolen money.
Based on evidence discovered during the investigation, the Montgomery County Police Crime Laboratory – Forensic Biology Unit and detectives from the Major Crimes Division, identified Bucksell as the suspect. Detectives applied for and received an arrest warrant charging him with the November 12 armed robbery.
On the strength of a warrant, Bucksell was arrested in Baltimore, on Tuesday, March 22, by the Montgomery County Repeat Offender Unit and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. He is being held without bond.
