Montgomery County Police Investigate Germantown Homicide; Victim's Name Released

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Police – Major Crimes Division are currently investigating the April 22 homicide that occurred in Germantown.  


On Friday, April 22, 2022, at approximately 10:50 p.m., Montgomery County Police – 5th District officers responded to the 19500 block of Gunners Branch Road for the report of a shooting that just occurred.  


Upon arrival, officers located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. Officers administered aid until Montgomery County Fire Rescue arrived, and he was pronounced deceased on the scene.   


The victim has been identified as 20-year-old, Taon Lamont Cline of Frederick. 


Currently, there is no suspect in custody. This is an active and ongoing homicide investigation.

A reward of up to $10,000 is being offered for information that leads to the arrest of the suspect(s). Callers may remain anonymous.
