Concern for Missing Silver Spring Woman

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, May 4, 2022

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Cold Case Unit are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing woman from Silver Spring.

On Saturday, April 16, 2022, at approximately 7 p.m., 23-year-old Rebecca Ajih was last seen in the 8400 block of Colesville Rd. in Silver Spring near the Silver Spring Metro Station. She may be using Metro Transit.   

Ajih is approximately 5-feet, 7-inches tall and weighs 125 lbs. She currently has blonde hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black jacket with a hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and brown Ugg boots.  

Police and family are concerned for her welfare.    

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Rebecca Ajih is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line) or the Montgomery County Police – Cold Case Unit at 240-773-5070. Callers may remain anonymous.
