Concern for Missing Rockville Teenager

For Immediate Release: Friday, May 20, 2022

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police – Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing 15-year-old from Rockville.  

Heidi Paola Rivas was last seen on Thursday, May 19, 2022, at approximately 7 a.m., in the 12400 block of Braxfield Court.   

Rivas is 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs approximately 90 pounds. She has brown eyes and long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, gray sweatpants and glasses. She was carrying a black backpack.  

Police and family are concerned for her welfare.  

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Heidi Paola Rivas is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line) or the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400. Callers may remain anonymous.
