Concern for Missing 14-Year-Old

For Immediate Release: Wednesday, May 25, 2022

Gaithersburg, MD – Detectives from the Montgomery County Department of Police - Special Victims Investigations Division (SVID) are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing juvenile from Silver Spring. 

Carlos Manuel Castro-Perez, age 14, was last seen on Friday, May 20, 2022, at approximately 5 a.m., in the 2300 block of Blueridge Ave.  

Castro-Perez is approximately 5-feet, 3-inches tall and weighs 130 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a gold necklace, a dark grey t-shirt, light blue jeans and white and blue Nike sneakers. He was also seen carrying a black and grey backpack.    

Police and family are concerned for his welfare.  

Anyone with information regarding the whereabouts of Carlos Manuel Castro-Perez is asked to call the police non-emergency number at 301-279-8000 (24-hour line) or the Special Victims Investigations Division at 240-773-5400. Callers may remain anonymous.
